What it means
Every campaign goes through a review before it can send. While it is under review, Twilio shows it as pending or in progress. When the review is done it is either approved or failed.
Twilio's registration quickstart currently says that, because of more submissions, campaign reviews take 10 to 15 days, and to contact Twilio Support if that time has passed and your campaign is still pending. Twilio's vetting help article says to contact support if vetting is still in progress after 10 days. Twilio also says standard campaigns go through several layers of review and can take up to several weeks.
What to fix
- Check the campaign status in the Twilio Console under your A2P 10DLC campaigns, and check your email and the Twilio Support Center. Twilio says it will contact you if it needs more information.
- If the review time Twilio gives has passed and it is still pending, open a ticket with Twilio Support.
- Do not delete the campaign and start a new one to try to speed it up. Twilio says the vetting fee is charged once per campaign, so a new campaign means a new fee, and it starts a new review.
- If it comes back failed, read every rejection reason. Most can be fixed by editing the campaign and resubmitting; there is no limit on resubmissions.
Checklist before you resubmit
- Status checked in the Console
- Email and Support Center checked for questions from Twilio
- Waited the review time Twilio gives
- Ticket opened with Twilio Support if still pending after that
- Campaign not deleted and recreated
